Some members have taken a particular interest in this unique parkland, utilizing the skills and contacts they have gained as Lions to benefit the park and help preserve it for future generations.
Activities at the park include:
Activity Days - Every 2nd and 4th Saturday, as well as every 2nd and Fourth Wednesday of each month (Excepting public holidays)
Dependent upon the weather conditions on the day, tasks may include plant care, seed collection, propagation and maintenance within the nursery, planting out, mulching and general maintenance.Community tree plantings (and sausage sizzle of course!) Details of next event to be advised
Regular litter patrols (casual walks with a shopping bag and pick-up-stick) Email Secretary: Friends of Karkarook Park for details.
