Moorabbin Lions Education Fund

Moorabbin Lions believe that every student deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and participate fully in school life. That’s why we have created the Moorabbin Lions Education Fund — a program designed to assist schools in ensuring that every child can access crucial educational opportunities without barriers

This fund provides schools with discretionary funding for students, ensuring they can participate in school activities, access necessary resources, and experience a fulfilling education.
It is administered in a partnership between our Lions Club  an specific  local primary schools.

The program is built on trust, respect, and flexibility. We do not require schools to disclose the names of students or families who receive support—we believe in preserving dignity and confidentiality. Instead, we request a simple brief report outlining how the funds were used (e.g., $500 for excursions, $700 for uniforms, etc.).  This ensures a degree of transparency while maintaining privacy.

This program is available to a very limited number of  local primary schools, but may expand if our membership and fundraising ability increases.
