The 2025-2026 Contest
Together as One
To a young person, a dream isn’t just a wish, hope or desire — it’s a path, a goal, an ambition. But achieving that dream takes hard work. So this year, we’re asking young people to show how they’ll turn their dream of a peaceful world into reality.
For over three decades, Lions clubs around the globe have been sponsoring a very special art contest in schools and youth groups. Creating peace posters gives children everywhere the chance to express their visions of peace and inspire the world through art and creativity.
2025 Local Winning entry. Artist: Qixing Zang
This year, Lions Club of Moorabbin is sponsoring the contest at Tucker Road Bentleigh Primary School.
Judging at this school level was on 14th October.
12 year old Qixing Zang's creation won the attention of judges with her interpretation of the theme 'Together as One'. In her words:
"The war is inside a bomb showing that nothing good will come from fighting.
The bomb is surrounded by all of the good things about life and peace.
When we combine all of these good things and come together as one, we have the power to cut the fuse of the bomb - ending all wars."
Congratulations to Qixing on her wonderful achievement. We wish you the best of luck at the district contest and hope to see your artwork continue to inspire others at the national final in Adelaide in May next year.
The winning poster will be displayed at the District level of the contest on 17-19th November at the Shepparton Showgrounds and will be one of the many attractions at the District Convention. From there successful entries will proceed the the National and (hopefully) International levels.
